Mumbai: Superstar Aamir Khan has opened up candidly about his relationship with partner Gauri Spratt, describing their bond as one of high commitment that feels akin to a formal marriage.
The actor, who first introduced Gauri Spratt to the media on the eve of his 60th birthday earlier this year, recently spoke about the seriousness of their connection during an appearance on a popular talk show.
When asked about his love life, Khan stated, “When you are committed to a relationship, you sign the marriage papers. If you are really connected with the person, sometimes it’s like marriage. Like Gauri and I are together, we are very highly committed to each other.”
Khan’s statement emphasizes his belief that a true partnership is defined by emotional investment and a shared future, rather than just a legal document. In previous interviews, the actor has also shared that he is already “emotionally married” to Gauri in his heart.
Finding Peace and Partnership
The two-time divorcee, who shares children with his ex-wives Reena Dutta and Kiran Rao, reflected on his past relationships, calling the breakups “traumatic” but expressing gratitude for the women he has married. “I have been lucky that the two women I have been married to are really wonderful women, both Reena and Kiran are wonderful people. So even though we went through the breakup, we are still family,” he said.
Aamir and Gauri Spratt, who works in production and has a background in fashion and the arts, have a history that dates back nearly 25 years. They reconnected a few years ago, with Aamir sharing that he found a deep sense of “peace” with Gauri.
